Metro West Firefighters, in conjunction with the St. Louis County Police and the City of Wildwood, are hostinging “Run to Remember” on September 11, 2010. This will be a 5K Run/Walk to honor firefighters and police officers and the others who lost their live on September 11, 2001. All proceeds from the event will go to The Backstoppers and The Pujols Family Foundation.

Captain Shelton invited WBA members to become involved in the event: either as a sponsor and/or as a runner. There are three levels of sponsorship:

There is also a need for volunteers to hand out packets before the race and to work different stations around the race course during the race. For further information or to register for the race, please visit www.GetMeRegistered.com or pick up a form at Wildwoood City Hall.

The Directory – Wildwood 2010 UPDATE 07/12/10

July 12th, 2010

The Directory – Wildwood 2010 is in production! We’re just waiting on a few last payments to come in from advertisers and we can send it to the printer. If you’ve already paid your directory invoice, thank you so much. If you haven’t, please do so today so we can call this project a success!

The City has cleared the way for us to note Wildwood Business Association members with the WBA logo so make sure you’re current with your dues so you’ll be one of them. We want a HUGE showing from the group. The Directory is going to be a gorgeous publication that we can all be proud of.

If anyone missed out on advertising, please call me directly (314-220-4225) immediately. I have a couple of spaces I need to fill.

Thanks to the Wildwood Business Association, former WBA President Tim Ward (Legends Financial Services), new WBA President David Coleman (PNC Bank – Wildwood) and the rest of you for supporting this project. The first year is always the hardest but once it’s published, everyone will wonder how they ever got along without it. I’ve seen it happen dozens of times!

See you all soon and make it a great week.
